CHITRESH DAS YOUTH COMPANY

The Chitresh Das Youth Company (CDYC) was formed originally in 2002 by Pandit Chitresh Das who appointed Charlotte Moraga as the CDYC Director. CDYC provides pre-professional training and performance experience for the next generation of kathak artists. CDI students are invited to audition for the Youth Company based on their teachers’ recommendation after a minimum of four years training. The CDYC performs throughout the Bay Area, and occasionally nationally and internationally at events ranging from community performances to world-class stages.
